The Barrow: selective access for containers

WHY WE DEVELOPED THE BARROW

Separating waste is important. Just as important is the distribution of this perfectly separated waste to the recycling centers.

Nobody likes to keep trash in their home for a long time. We want to be able to take the trash outside, so that’s what we do.  Our perfectly separated waste patiently waits for a pickup truck to come and pick itup.

During this time a lot can happen. Rodents, mice and rats, may see the garbage as a nice snack and make a mess, people forget to close the container, or waste can  decompose due to the weather. In an ideal world we would have unlimited pick up trucks, to pick up this trash . Unfortunately we haven’t. However we can get closer to the ideal situation.

WHAT IS THE BARROW?

The Barrow is a selective access system for underground, semi-underground and above ground containers. Users get access using a card . Without the card the container stays locked and the  surrounding environment stays neat.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
The Barrow Container System consists of a few elements. The most important are:

  • The Barrow Card Reader Unit.

This’ll be attached on top of the container. The Barrow Card Reader Unit is connected to all the user cards. Each card is connected to the unique address of its user
-More than 200.000 cardsnumbers can be stored in a Barrow

  • The Barrow Solar Unit.

The charging unit might also be battery powered, depending on the usage requirements. Using a Solar cell makes the unit CO2 footprint neutral and will keep the Barrow going up to 5 years.

  • The Lock

The container system wouldn’t be anything without the Barrow Lock. This is lock is low power.

We took care to use as much as possible recyclable materials for the Barrow. The unit can be returned or upgraded with new electronics entring a new lifecycle.

  •  WSS RSOfice software monitors the data and converts in to workable files.

HOW DOES IT BENEFIT YOU?

By separating waste, we’re able to recycle at the source efficiently. In this way the separated waste is useful and ready to be recycled. Recycling materials will cause CO2 footprint reduction. That is if we separate, distribute and recycle with care. Keeping containers neat, keeps our waste neat. In the end: our waste are  materials to be used in new products.

Besides living in a sustainable world, we also like to live in a clean environment. The Barrow Recycling System helps keeping the direct environment clean.
